Dutch-Oven Cooking From Sheep Camp To Home

Some of Elko County’s finest Basque cooks led this workshop on Dutch Oven Cooking. Taking place at the Elko Basque Clubhouse on January 29th and finishing up today on January 30th from 1:00 – 4:00 pm. Workshop camp-tenders Zach Arbillaga, Jess Lopategui, Ramon Zugazaga and Elko Basque Clubhouse president Choch Zaga came together to fire up indoor and outdoor dutch ovens to prepare a Basque feast. Paella, beef tongue, meatballs, homemade bread and beef stews were among the dishes prepared.
